Avero New York City Restaurant Education Experience.

The Avero New York City Restaurant Education Experience sends one or two deserving recipients to New York City for a four-day educational immersion into the food and beverage industry. The students will meet and learn from leading chefs, managers and restaurateurs while experiencing some of the city’s most prominent dining trends. The students also spend time at the Avero headquarters, meeting with the executive team and shadowing several team members to learn how Avero’s performance management technology helps food and beverage operators improve efficiency and guest experience.

“Words cannot describe my experience with Avero’s NYC experience. To this day, I cannot believe
that I checked off my bucket-list item to visit the iconic, food mecca of the world: New York City. It
was definitely a fun-filled (and stomach filling), learning experience that I will never forget. I extend
my gratitude to the entire team at Avero. Their hospitality and dedication for food and beverage
has inspired me. I thank them for giving this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the students of
the Epicurean Charitable Foundation and me.“

CDF, Inc ECF partners with CDF to further enhance our students’ opportunities for academic achievement. The goals of the CDF’s educational and enrichment programs are to promote multiethnic/multicultural awareness and acceptance within the community; to focus on coordination of outreach support efforts to diverse communities, to respond to and support the professional and educational needs of the disadvantaged. The Cultural Diversity Foundation will be sponsoring many educational programs; computer skills for job readiness, scholarship workshops, and community events such as the annual Educational Taste of Excellence: Wine Tasting, Spirits & Jazz Scholarship Fundraiser, the Golden Hand Service Awards, and Looking Through the Eyes of the Beholder: An artist’s Vision to support our vision and goals.

At its core, The Public Education Foundation invests in ideas. They investigate and evaluate ways that Nevada’s children can be better educated. The Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is a hands-on think tank. Creating dynamic initiatives and programs that reimagine and improve public education. PEF works collaboratively with individuals, other nonprofits, businesses, Clark County School District and local governments to efficiently and effectively marshal their resources. Solutions to the challenges of educating a growing and diverse Southern Nevada population are to have an impact on schools and the school district at multiple levels from grassroots classroom participation to systemic reform. Their initiatives and programs empower teachers and students, reduce bureaucracy, ensure accountability, leverage resources, and deliver results. For more than two decades, PEF has been working to bring about transformational change in teaching, learning and education leadership. It is a mission they pledge to honor today and into the future. ECF has partnered with Public Education Foundation to help reach as many Clark County School District students as possible to inform them of our full ride Hospitality/Food and Beverage/Culinary scholarship.

Since its inception in 1999, Speedway Children’s Charities has granted more than $2.5 million to local children’s causes throughout Southern Nevada. Grants are given to a variety of organizations and most likely have touched the life of someone you know. These funds were raised by the generous support of the racing, corporate and local communities.
